Maybelline Makeup Artist Charlotte Willer

Makeup artist Charlotte Willer
Danish born Charlotte Willer has been a Makeup Artist since the late 80’s. Her cosmopolitan edge brought her from her native Copenhagen to the ‘city of lights.’ In Paris and then London, she found her calling for beauty and soon couldn’t resist the sirens of New York City.
She is a compulsive creator, whose multiple passions are a never ending source of inspiration—design, pop art, jewelry and traveling. She is a rebel in love with color, and her sole objective is to beautify her subjects. When asked about the brand she is the ambassador of, Charlotte answered: “I am delighted to be part of the Maybelline family. It is my privilege to represent such an iconic and cosmopolitan brand. I have always loved New York, and Maybelline is THE New York brand ‘par excellence.’”
Charlotte brings to Maybelline New York a recognized expertise in the business as well as an international and cosmopolitan flair that are in perfect tune with the brand’s core values. Her involvement with the brand includes creating looks seen in the global advertising
campaigns, shade and product development and lead Makeup Artist for Maybelline New York as the official cosmetics sponsor of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. She has worked on editorials and advertorials alike with iconic names such as Paolo Roversi, Terry Richardson and Patrick Demarchelier just to name a few.
Some of Charlotte’s go-to makeup tips include:
1 ) Apply eye pencil on eye lids before applying the eye shadow in order for the pigment to have more depth and adhere longer.
2 ) When using color, use it boldly, no compromise, play it up! When applying eye
shadow or lipstick for instance, don’t be afraid to let color speak up!
She predicts the following beauty trends for 2010, “I think for the summer, women
will want glowy, luminous skin—a healthy glow with natural lips, back to the essence.
For fall, I love that more and more women are daring with color, especially on their lips.
I find it very beautiful and glamorous.”
